DAY 1
Kangaroo Island
As usual this 7 day air tour departs Moorabbin for Kingscote on Kangaroo Island… http://www.kangaroo-island-au.com
Arriving at about 11am ,we drive to our accommodation near the south coast. Then after lunch explore some of the sites of the island including seals, kangaroos, Admiralty Arch and Remarkable Rocks.

DAY 2
After breakfast ,enjoy a complete day at Kangaroo Island. This includes Admiralty Arch, Remarkable Rocks and plenty of wildlife (seals, kangaroos in particular).

DAY 3
Depart Kangaroo Island after breakfast at about 9 am on our charter flight for Gawler Ranges. Landing at Streaky Bay be met by Geoff who has owned and run his safari camp for some 15 years. http://www.gawlerrangessafaris.com. A short drive of 25 minutes to Baird Bay where we board the MV Investigator for an unforgettable wildlife experience.
On the 5 kilometre journey to a lagoon near Cape Radstock (at 160 meters, it is one of the highest sheer points on the southern coast of Australia) we can watch Bottlenose dolphins ride the bow wave of the boat, and join these magnificent mammals in shallow water. We cross the bay to visit a resident colony of rare Australian sea lions and experience playing face to face with these agile and friendly mammals as we wade in protected shallow lagoons.
After lunch we leave Baird Bay and visit Venus Bay and enjoy magnificent Coastal scenery before driving inland to Wudinna and on to Kangaluna Camp.
Dinner is at the 5 star tented camp site. Three tents, each with two rooms, one with double bed, the other room with 2 singles. All tents have ensuites.

DAY 4
Today we drive to Lake Gairdner, which is like a piece of Antarctica, with its glistening white salt pan set in the middle of a red landscape. See emus and kangaroos, ( Reds, Western Greys and Euros) as we drive through the ancient outback and a private sheep station along an interesting Gorge back to Kangaluna Camp. Along the way you get the chance to have some fun and paint your face with the multi coloured ocre rock as the Aboriginal people did to decorate themselves for ceremonies.

DAY 5
After breakfast we drive back to Wudinna for our departure to Andamooka opal fields. This is a 1.5 hr flight. Here we have lunch and tour this unusual outback town then at around 3pm fly 40 minutes to Balcanoona on the western side of the Flinders Ranges, stopping at Leigh Creek for fuel. We are picked up by the Arkaroola lodge and drive 40 minutes to Arkaroola arriving late afternoon. We have dinner at the motel and then a fascinating excursion to Doug Sprigg’s optical observatory. He and or his staff give a great perspective of the universe and the solar system and we hope for a clear night.

DAY 6
After breakfast we go on the famous 4 wheel drive “Ridge Top” tour.
This is a spectacular view of the northern Flinders Ranges as far as Mount Disappointment. After lunch we drive back to Balcannona and depart for Mungo National Park. The 1.5 hr flight gets us to Mungo around 4:30pm http://www.mungolodge.com.au/index.htm.

DAY 7
After breakfast we visit the moonscape style China Wall and then after lunch return to Melbourne on the last leg of the 7 day air tour via Mildura for fuel.
