Itinerary: Broken Hill Adventure (3 days)
Melbourne to Mungo National Park to Broken Hill (L,D)
Depart Moorabbin Airport at 8.00am bound for World heritage-listed Mungo National Park in New South Wales. The archaeological treasures of Mungo Man and Mungo Woman, carbon dated to over 40,000 years old, were found here. Local experts will guide you through the story of Mungo, the ancient dry bed of Lake Mungo, the expanses of sand dunes and the surreal Walls of China.
Following lunch, fly on to Broken Hill. Commence touring through the south of Broken Hill, stopping over at 1950s original Bells Milk Bar for a traditional milkshake or cuppa before taking in the vast views of the Silver City. Your local guide will point out the many heritage-listed sites in the centre of town. Check into the Royal Exchange Hotel for two nights and enjoy a predinner drink at the Palace Hotel, famous for its murals and iconic scenes in Australia’s movie production ‘Pricilla Queen of the Desert’.

The 3 day trip , Taste Of The Outback may sound short, but we packed a lot in. We visited a million acre cattle station, which was an eyeopener and then got to Arkaroola in the Flinders Ranges and explored there by 4 WD.
