Itinerary: Outback Horizons
Day 1: Melbourne to Mungo National Park to Broken Hill (L,D)
Beginning at Moorabbin Airport at 8.00am, your outback adventure starts in World heritage-listed Mungo National Park in New South Wales, famous for the archaeological treasures of Mungo Man and Mungo Woman. Local experts will guide you through the story of Mungo, the ancient dry bed of Lake Mungo, the expanses of sand dunes and the surreal Walls of China.
Then on to Broken Hill and the historic Royal Exchange Hotel. Be sure to drop into the nearby Palace Hotel, made famous by Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, for a drink before dinner.
